CALL TO ALL WRECKERS!

Ahoy Mates! It's time to clean the bottom and pile on the sails.

The first of four races in the 2011 Schooner Wharf Bar Wrecker's Cup Race Series is set for Sunday, January 30th . This all-in-fun race series recalls the tradition of the wreckers in the Key West of the 1800’s.

Racers will compete in five different classes; Classic, Schooner, Monohull over 30 feet, Monohull under 30 feet and Multihull. 1st, 2nd & 3rd place will be awarded in each category, with trophies, Pusser's Rum & Schooner Wharf Bar Tabs as prizes.

Captains meeting is held Saturday, January 29th at 7:00 p.m. on the Schooner Wharf's Upper deck with complimentary Pusser's Rum Punch and hors d'oeuvres from the Schooner Wharf Galley.

All participating vessels will be eligible for a free raffle sponsored by West Marine, Downtown & Stock Island. 4 BBQ dinners for captain & crew at the Awards Ceremony. The race is video taped, see yourself under sail. Entry fee for each vessel is $30.00
