The first race of the highly
anticipated 28th Annual Schooner Wharf Bar Wreckers Cup Series took place
Sunday, January 27th with a fleet of fifty vessels. It was a sloppy, choppy
start against an outgoing tide with winds blowing 16-18 knots out of the
ENE. Winds picked up at the finish line and were blowing steady from the
north at 25 knot winds with gusts of 30, in 2-3 foot rolling seas. The
Wreckers fleet certainly earned their measure of rum!

Wrecker's Race Results |
The second race of the Schooner Wharf Wreckers Cup Race was held on Sunday, February 24th with balmy winds blowing out of the south 7-8 knots and moderate seas. Racers were helped at the start with an ebbing tide. Vessels had the delight of dolphins leaping in their bow wakes under sunny skies, in their quest for bragging rights, rum and fun. Yachtsmen wishing to join the Wreckers’ Fleet for the March 31st and April 28th race, call 292-9520 or stop in at Schooner Wharf for your entry form.

The third race of the 2013
Schooner Wharf Wreckers Cup Race Series was held on Sunday, March 31st, with
a fleet of thirty nine vessels competing in eight different classes. The
fleet enjoyed their Easter holiday on the high seas. Racers got to take
advantage of an outgoing high tide at race start. It was a gorgeous day for
sailing with sustained ESE winds blowing 14 knots, sunny skies and electric
blue seas. The last race of the series will be held on April 28th, for more

Wrecker's Race Results |
The final race of the 2013 Schooner Wharf Wreckers Cup Race Series filled the harbor with billowing sails on Sunday, April 28th, with a fleet of forty four vessels competing in eight different classes.
Captains and crew enjoyed a fast course with near record breaking results. At the race start conditions were an ENE blowing 18 knots, with
higher gusts and a slack high tide, by the finish wind had clocked to the east with 3�-5�foot rolling waves.
The fleet experienced the spectacular multi-colored blue water of the Florida Keys, plenty of sunshine, friendly rivalry, and adventure on the high seas.
