February Results
Mariners participating in
the popular Schooner Wharf Bar Wreckers Cup Race definitely earned their
measure of grog Sunday, Feb 27th. It was wind against current with a south
south west wind clocking around to a south south east wind. The choppy
seas had 3-5 rollers and were full of cavorting dolphin and cruising
turtles. Next Race Date is March 27th, call Evalena or Sheree at 292-9520

March Results
The start of the 3rd race
in the popular Schooner Wharf Bar Wreckers Race Series began with 15 knots
of a south wind, an outgoing tide, and sloppy seas. Strategy of clearing
the harbor was the fleet captains first challenge of the day. While
mariners were spotting cavorting dolphins and diving sea turtles the wind
shifted 10 knots from the southeast with 2 & 3 footers rolling. Tacking
became the second challenge, seasoned reckoning and tenaciousness both
played a major role in the outcome of this race.
