Celebrate the spirit of Old Key West at the
7th Annual Open Air Art and Music Affair, Saturday March 3, 2007.
Headquartered at The Schooner Wharf Bar on Key West�s historic Harborwalk
202 William Street artists booths will be set up from 10:00 am. until
sunset, and the music rocks the stage all day and well into the night.
Participants and attendees agree that this show is fun and friendly, and a
great event where you can meet local artists, scoff up good deals, and get
that one of a kind hand made souvenir from Key West. |

This year we feature fine
artists Susan Thomas, Kate Peachy, Laura Black, Rick Burnett, Thomas
Avery, Debby Peterson and newcomer, Carol Heath, along with others. Many
returning artists are displaying new facets of their creative spirit by
introducing works in a different media. Some of the cross over art
includes painted furniture by glass painter Gale Upmal, and carved wampum
objects de art by Marica Portier whose wampum shell jewelry is always a
hit. |
Adding whimsy to this years affair are Coco
Franciose who features functional plant containers, Patty Swartz with her
colorful bouy collection and coconut critters and Larry�s sand dollar
magnets. Pet fashions by Susan Schaal brightens our animal friends style
as they prance off with colorful collars and hats.
Jewelry vendors abound, and include affordable pieces made from sea glass
to bronze and everything in between. Tom Taylor offers his one of a kind
wire wrapped high grade gemstone jewelry. Joyce Straiton demonstrates the
art of creating hand made glass beads and then fashions them into
beautiful jewelry. Suzanne Buxton works in silver, and Sara Russel returns
with her designs. |
Fabric art and items for the
house and home are offered by Joanne Jarzombeck fabric art clothes and
accessories, weaver Clair Perrault, the fun and friendly Peggy Taylor with
glass dancers, Sharona�s hand painted KW shirts and Daisy Cake Soaps,
bathing indulgence perfected
Internationally renowned potter Jay Gogin, the original �Hairy Potter�
will be demonstrating his remarkable pottery skills along with students
from the Florida Keys Community College. |

The music
aspect kicks off with Michael McCloud and Friends at 10:00 am till 3:00
pm. Michael is a songwriter and humorist of local and national fame. Bubba
�Lownotes� and Captain Carl �Guitar� Peachy round out this entertaining
act that will have you thinking �you just came down for the weekend twenty
five years ago.� |

Marker 24 will be �all around you� from 3:00 � 7:00 pm, gracing the stage
with music from the islands and their special brand of keys fever, watch
it�. their style is catchy! |

Sweet Daddy Cool
Breeze play with the gritty urban sound of Chicago blues with "a little
jazzy flavor added to it." will take center stage from 7:30 pm till 12:30
am. Fused into a groove driving force, this group has what it takes to
deliver a top notch blues show. |
