We had 11
prize winners this year, although the choices were difficult with so many
amazing entries!
The People's Choice Award: This one was voted on by the people, and the winner
was the honorable Mayor Craig Cates with his 1100 horse power '68 Camero, an
awesome presence of "Conch Muscle" at the show!
Best Conch-cept: Maria Gosha - A well painted island truck topped off with a
thatched "palm frond roof", making a clever Gilligan's Island hide out for her
dog in the back. (Complete with jumper cables actually needed to leave the
show.)
Best paint Job: Key West Flowers owner Runi Goyal - (The artist was Key West's
own Sherry Sweet Tewell). This vehicle was a tropical masterpiece that would
accent any garden in town.
Best in show: Jim and Sandy Waite -- That's right -- 2 winners. This dynamic duo
took it down with their twin "haunted trikes" that took the show. Custom made
out of two Ford Escorts. Outstanding Job!
Great Paint Job: Daniel Andrews B.O.s Fish Wagon Mobile Artist: Rick Worth
Cruising artwork with a combination of great painting and buoy assemblage.
Best Scooter Entry: Johnathon King Fun paint job with a creative flight
control panel.
Most Nautical Entry: Dave Garrison An assemblage created out of found
objects
rescued from the ocean.
Best Muscle Car Entry: Notch Back Mustang - Owner John Wagner
Farthest Traveled Entry: Torro Maxs Chevy Malibu Pontiac Star Chief came the
farthest distance, from Puerto Rico to Alaska to Key West.
