SCHOONER WHARF�S MEL FISHER DAYS KICK-OFF PARTY
The 14th Annual Kick-off Party for Mel Fisher Days, a tribute to Mel and Deo�s continual quest to fulfill their dream, was held at Schooner Wharf last Thursday. The night�s festivities celebrated the day 27 years ago when Mel�s crews found $400 million in shipwrecked gold, silver and emeralds that had been sitting on the ocean floor for more than 300 years. Events included the Miss Atocha Bikini Contest, 50/50 raffle, and a chance to win an Atocha coin buried in a cupcake. Amber Bennett took home the Miss Atocha title and a $2,000 Madagascar Emerald by raising the most money in the bikini contest.	Friend and Kim Fisher
All together, $5,700 was tallied, and 100% of net proceeds will be donated to Wesley House Family Services.
