'Tis the Season at Schooner Wharf!
Come to the annual Schooner Wharf Bar Tree Trimming Party
Sunday, Dec. 2nd beginning at 5 p.m.
Hang an ornament at the harbor and make our tree yours. Bring your own nautical ornament for the live 8-foot tree, and enjoy a free holiday cocktail -- eggnog with rum, Swedish glögg or a hot applejack.
Your ornament will be entered in the holiday contest and prizes will be given for the most original, most nautical and most popular with the crowd. You could win a Bottle from Santa’s Liquor Cabinet, a Breakfast for two with Mimosas or a Schooner Wharf Bar Gift Certificate.
Some of our favorite local musicians, Marty Stonely, Din Allen and George Victory will have everybody up and on the dance floor by playing everything from Holiday Tunes, Classic Soul, Funk and Reggae and Island sounds to the beat of George’s steel drum.
Then cross off several items on your holiday shopping list at the Santa’s Key West Workshop, conveniently located at Schooner Wharf Bar.
Renowned photographer Rob O’Neal will be selling his stunning 2013 Key West calendars, while local authors Terry Schmida and Mandy Bolen will have autographed copies of their books, “True Crime Stories,” and “Tan Lines” available for sale.
Take a Florida Keys road trip with Harry Bowman, who narrates the trip from Key West to Miami in perfect synchronicity with the passing scenery.
Artist Rob Santagate also will be in the workshop selling his colorful prints and novelty items.
So let the celebration be a productive one, trim a tree, buy a gift and have a drink.
Drinks, decorations, great music and dinner at Schooner Wharf Bar are proof that there can be tannenbaums in the tropics!
For the 13th year in a row, the Schooner Wharf “Breakfast Club” is heading up a Toy Drive on Tree Trimming Day, benefiting Toys for Tots and also Angels – Just 4 Kids. Each of you Santa’s helpers who donates a gift to this worthwhile cause will also receive a free holiday drink.

Key's kids will be getting
Christmas surprises from an unlikely group of locals this holiday season.
The Breakfast Club from Schooner Wharf Bar is a group of early morning bar
patrons that gather each a.m. around 8:00 for an early beer or a cup of
coffee. It is a collection of local color that includes bartenders and
waitresses, carpenters, electricians, day laborers, retired businessmen,
and others who just stop by.
The Breakfast Club have decided to spend
their morning ritual working toward a good cause, and have joined the Key
West Police Department in its "Toys for Tots" quest for Christmas
presents for underprivileged kids in Key West.
Anyone who would like to brighten a kid's Christmas should drop off an
unwrapped toy to Schooner Wharf during the Tree Trimming Party, starting
at 5:00 p.m., Sunday, December 2nd. All "Santa's Helpers" will receive a
complimentary glass of holiday cheer!!!
