Celebrating
17 Years of Close Up Magic at Schooner Wharf Bar on May 15th
On
Thursday May 15th, Schooner Wharfs Magic Bar with Frank Everhart Jr.
turns 17 (and its Franks birthday
too!) For those last 17 years Frank has been delighting audiences with his
own unique special brand of magic.
Starting at 7:00 p.m. there will be live music, stage magic, food, drinks,
fun and of course Franks Magic Bar will be open, with local
prestidigitators sharing in the fun as they ply their various magical
arts.
The evening will be hosted by Key Wests very own radio personality, Bill
Hoebee. Music will be provided by David Goodman, a Keys favorite for more
than two decades. Goodmans vocals, guitar and performances are first
class and high energy. Joining him is Steve Webb, another Florida Keys
mainstay, on guitar and mandolin. Webb is an accomplished songwriter,
singer and performer. Frank Everhart, Jr., a
second generation sleight of hand artist, inherited his trade from his
father the legendary Frank Everhart, Sr., famous for such card tricks as
Sam the Bellhop and the Red Hot Mama. Frank Sr. had the original Franks
Magic Bar for 21 years in at the famed Ivanhoe Theater in Chicago. Frank
the younger is proud to carry on the familys unique brand of magic at
Schooner Wharf nightly, Wednesday through Sunday.
There will be special guest performance from
international magic sensation, Doc Eason of John Denvers Colorado Tower
Bar fame. Doc is just back from a very successful European tour and a
stint at the Magic Castle to amaze us with his incredible talent and wit.
We will also be introducing an all new Magic
Bar in our newly renovated back room. As the bar grew, the Magic Bar grew
too and it was time to add more room for the growing list of fans of magic
that frequent our last little piece of Old Key West.
Come down to Schooner Wharf for a night filled with magic and be dazzled
this Thursday starting at 7:00 p.m. There will be all kinds of amazement
for everyone to share. Come raise your glass to Franks 17th anniversary.
See you at the show! |
