Schooner Wharf Bar wants to harness it all for the traditional start of the Conch Republic Independence Celebration at the annual Conch Shell Blowing Contest on Friday, April 22nd at 7 p.m.

Locals, visitors and any other blowhard can compete for prizes awarded for the longest, loudest and most musical trumpet of Key West�s namesake mollusk.

Six winners will take home gifts from Cruzan Rum and Landshark Lager, water adventures compliments of Sebago Watersports, Sunset Watersports, Spirit of Independence, America 2.0 and other treasures courtesy of Schooner Wharf Bar.
 

The colorful Caribbean Queen Junkanoos are a movable feast of traditional Bahamian music and acoustic instruments. The parade will march through Schooner Wharf starting at 8:00pm.
 

Live music from 7 pm - 12:30 am will be the four sister group, the Redheaded Express, (with a break for the Caribbean Queen Junkanoos!) Their sound is real, honest and speaks to your soul, it's raw beauty with exquisite harmonies, thought provoking lyrics, and melodies that take you away. Spend an evening in concert with the Redhead Express and you will be captivated by their sound, their realness, their passion and, most importantly, their heart. They have been touring from Alaska since 2007, performing over 2000 shows. They now reside in middle Tennessee, in the heart of America�s roots music. The music of the Redhead Express takes you back to your roots in a way that feels fresh and new.
 

When you�re finished blowing and listening to Conchs, head over to the Schooner Wharf Galley for conch fritters and conch chowder and other tasty fare.
