Schooner Wharf Kick Off Party is the start of the Conch Republic Independence Celebration on Friday, April 21 at 7 p.m.
The festivities kick off at 7 p.m. with the Myles Mancuso Band, with their unique blend of roots Americana and R&B. Dance steepin� hand clappin� down home fun!

Conch Republic Prime Minister Dennis Wardlow will be on stage recounting the story of the events that led to our secession, as can only be told by the mayor who spearheaded our secession in 1982! We seceded from the United States, surrendered, and demanded foreign aid (we are still waiting on that!)

longtime local performer/songwriter and Schooner Wharf staple, Michael
McCloud, on April 21st at our Annual Schooner Wharf Conch Republic
Independence Kick Off Party (7:00 p.m.) Prime Minister Dennis
Wardlow and Secretary General of the state of the Conch Republic,
Capt. James R. Gilleran will honor Michael as the �Official Troubadour
of the Conch Republic!�
Michael has been entertaining us here at Schooner Wharf for 31 years
with his unique humor, original music and showmanship. You can catch
his Americana, originals and humor Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from
noon � 5 p.m. throughout the month of April for his last shows. See
why he �came down for a long weekend twenty-five years ago�!
The festivities also include a re-counting of how the original
succession went in 1982 � We succeeded, surrendered and asked for
economic aid --- still waiting on that!
Also compete in our annual Conch Shell Blowing Contest --- Prizes for
the Longest & Loudest and the Most Musical Blow. Bring your own conch
shell or
