Our 24th Schooner Wharf Minimal Regatta was held Sunday, May 24th with an
impressive fleet of 37 imaginative, energized, and wonderfully original
teams. They hailed from Cuba, Ft. Myers, Palm Beach, Big Pine, Summerland,
Ramrod Keys and a vampire from 6 feet under to compete in the Memorial Day
weekend fun. There were two thirteen year olds entries, retired Air Force
and Navy, Coast Guard crewman, first time entries, and Minimal Regatta
veterans competing in our wild, wet and wacky regatta. Some vessels took
weeks to build while others were forty minutes wonders, one boat designer
said it took him eighty beers to complete his mission! Check out the
