Wrecker's Race Results
The first race of the Schooner
Wharf Bar Wreckers Cup Race Series took place Sunday, January 29th with a
record breaking fleet of 54 vessels. Local private vessels, visiting
yachtsman, and Key West charter boats filled the harbor with sails.
The regatta enjoyed a downwind race with following 1-3 foot seas. It was a
fast run with NNE winds blowing 10-15 knots. First paragraph is fine and so
are the results.

Wrecker's Race Results |
|
The second race of the popular
Schooner Wharf Bar Wreckers Cup Race Series took place on Sunday with a
fleet of 49 vessels in six divisions. Local private vessels, visiting
yachtsmen, and Key West charter boats filled the harbor with sails.
The regatta enjoyed sunny skies, a high tide and an out going current with
3-5 foot seas. It was an extremely fast race with ESE steady winds blowing
20-24 knots.
Dolphins abounded to play in the wake of the bow for many of the racing
fleet at the finish line.

Wrecker's Race Results
Thirty Eight vessels in
the third race of the Schooner Wharf Bar Wreckers Cup Race Series once again
filled the Key West Harbor with sails and sailors on Sunday. It was an
exciting start for all classes with vessels hugging the line ready for the
starting flag to drop.
Race conditions started with cloudy skies, an outgoing tide with winds out
of the west at 8 knots, with the wind clocking to the SSW at 10 knots, and
sunshine at the finish line. The captain�s strategy was a key factor in
determining the results.

Wrecker's Race Results |

A fleet of 33 vessels ventured
out to sea for the last race of the popular Schooner Wharf Wreckers Cup Race
Series on Sunday to earn their measure of rum. Mariners enjoyed a fast race,
with east winds blowing 15 knots, gusting to 20 knots. The sea conditions
were 1 � 3 feet with a moderate chop and an out going tide.
For the first time ever there
was a three way tie for 1st Place in the 2012 Schooner Wharf Bar Wreckers
Cup Race Series. The Tie Breaker was determined by the fastest time in all 4
races. 3rd � Freya �

2nd � Iron Maiden � Captain Matt Mullen � 51:12
1st � Schooner America � Captain Andrew Neuhauser � 41:01
Fastest time by any vessel this season was Hobo with Captain David McMullen
