Spend a golden evening at Schooner Wharf Bar, where Spanish galleons,
treasure hunting ships, golden discoveries and priceless memories of the
man who made it all happen – Mel Fisher – are on tap for this year’s
Party during Mel Fisher Days. The celebration of Key West’s golden dream weaver begins at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 3. Everyone is welcome to come out and commemorate the 400th Anniversary of the sinking of Nuestra Senora de Atocha. Join us at Mel’s favorite watering hole, where he “made his mark” when his handprints were cast in a special mold and a section of the bar top is dedicated to his achievements. Meet the Atocha divers and Magruder crew and hear tales of high-seas and high-stakes adventures from current and past salvors and mingle with members of the Fisher family. |

The family will present the “2022 Mel Fisher Lifetime Achievement
Award” to a deserving recipient. This year, everyone can participate in a HUGE online silent auction – more than $20,000 in merchandise and treasure! Proceeds from Mel Fisher Days benefit Wesley House Family Services and the Michael Abt, Jr. Have a Heart Foundation. Have fun with the most anticipated X Marks the Spot Cupcake "treasure hunt," 50/50 Raffle, Live Auction, prizes for correct answers to Atocha Trivia and Treasured Authors Book Signing.
