January 2014 Wrecker's Cup Race Awards & Results

The eagerly anticipated first race of the Schooner Wharf Wreckers� Cup Race Series took place on Sunday, January 26th. A fleet of 35 local and visiting yachtsman enjoyed our regatta under sunny clear skies - and it was a balmy 75 degrees! February 2014 Wrecker's Cup Race Awards & Results

The second race of the 29th Annual Schooner Wharf Wreckers Cup Race was held on Sunday, February 23rd. The fleet�s race start was SE by E wind blowing 9 knots with winds diminishing to 8 knots out of the SE. The finishing line was shortened to accommodate racing conditions. The regatta enjoyed calm seas, an outgoing tide, blue skies, balmy winds and BBQ! The next 2 races will be held on the last Sunday of March and April. March 2014 Wrecker's Cup Race Awards & Results

The third race of the popular Schooner Wharf Wreckers� Cup Race Series was held Sunday, March 30th. The regatta experienced an outgoing tide with blue skies, and blustery winds out of the north at 20 knots, with 3 foot rollers. The fleet definitely earned their measure of rum and fun! April 2014 Wrecker's Cup Race Awards & Results

The final race of the 2014 29th Annual Schooner Wharf Wreckers� Race Series was held on Sunday, April 27th. It was a fast race with 12-14 knots and an outgoing tide. Vessels had a straight line, no tack run to the finish line. Racers experienced sunny skies, gentle one foot seas and ardent spirits.

Two Classes vied for the 2014 Over-all winner, the valiant crews of the Night Nurse in the Monohull 25�-30� Class, captained by John Smittle and Schooner America 2.0 captained by Andrew Neuhauser. The fastest race time of the race series between the two vessels determined Schooner America 2.0 as the 2014 Over-All Winner.
