26th ANNUAL SCHOONER WHARF MINIMAL REGATTA
Calling All Boat Boat Builders and Would-Be Ship Wrights

The 26th Annual Memorial Day tradition of Schooner Wharf Bar�s Minimal Regatta captivated thousands of spectators along the Key West Harbor Walk as 18 energetic and determined competing teams enjoyed the holiday high jinks.

The event is a reflection of the colorful and unique spirit of Key West and its people -- fun-filled, creative and just a bit different from the rest!

Congratulations to Dale Crouse paddling Giddy Up in the Open Design and to Brian Plate, captain of Sweet Child in the Kayak/Canoe Design for their 1st Place finishes. Earning the Most Creative Design was Sneak Box by Maryann Michol and Chris Hibberd. Kara Wedel�s Wisteria Islander won Best Paint Job. The team effort of Wolfie triumphed in the Best Costume category and the dubious honor of the Best Sinker went to Capt. Sean Blaise�s Mini Moonshine entry.
